Why doesn’t Londr do dry cleaning? This is question we get a lot. The answer? The same reason your mom doesn’t: She doesn’t have the equipment at home, and neither do our washers. Most large-ish cities will have a dry cleaning service in town that will pick up your laundry, press your shirts, and dry clean the items you need. These services are great, but they will usually charge anywhere from double, to as much as eight times as Londr! Whether you’re on vacation, need a break from laundry to actually enjoy your weekend, or need some help catching up, Londr is here to be a premium service at a reasonable price.
Londr follows a peer-to-peer model. That means our washers are people in your community who care for your laundry the same way they care for their own, and our washers are given guidelines on how to provide the BEST service. Because our washers live nearby, and because we’re not paying for the overhead of a building and expensive equipment, we can provide a wash/fold service at a fraction of the cost. As always, when you make a Londr order, you can make a special request to ensure that your clothes are laundered just the way you like it, by a total laundry nerd who knows how to do it right. By default you can request the type of detergent, whether clothes are put through the dryer or hung, and whether you’d like them returned folded or put on hangers. You can also request that certain items are handled just the way you want. Want your yoga pants hung even though the rest of the stuff can be dried? Great! Want us to use your special brand of fabric softener? Also great.
